SADM was established in 1994 and is known as South African Druggists Malawi Limited. We manufacture generic medications according to the EDL (Essential Drug List) of Malawi. Our products and service are noted for their affordability and quality. We are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified and European Community standards of GMP have been entrenched into our processes as verified by the Pharmacy, Medicines and Poison Board of Malawi as well as the South African Medicines Control Council. Our company has won tenders since our inception every time the Malawian government has floated a tender, with a minimum amount of US$ 1 million. Our main customers have been Central Medical Stores and tenders business from the private sector, Government and CHAM hospitals.
SADM Pharmaceuticals Limited has a 2800 square meter manufacturing facility – built in accordance with internationally established codes of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and is ideally situated at Kanengo, the industrial heart of Lilongwe and provides essential medicines directly to Malawi and neighboring countries. The factory is situated in an ambient pollution free area with conditions ideally suited for a Pharmaceuticals Plant. The Plant itself is surrounded by lush green lawns and is well landscaped. The Plant is on the freeway to Lilongwe International Airport and is about 14 kilometers from downtown Lilongwe. Our facilities include:
